A man was sent to prison, and on his first night, he was really scared. Sitting in the dark all alone, he suddenly heard someone call out “23″, and all the prisoners started laughing like mad. Confused, the man walks to the door of his cell and listens. Suddenly, another prisoner calls out “47″, and again all the prisoners erupt in laughter.

The man walks over to his cell mate and asks ‘what on earth is going on?’. The cell mate replies “well, since we’ve all been in here so long, we’ve assigned numbers to all the jokes to save us time on telling them again. It’s easy, you just call out a number and everyone knows the rest – go ahead. try it”.

“Righto”, the man says, and then at the top of his lungs he shouts out “128″. All of a sudden, the prisoners started shouting in laughter, tears pouring out their eyes, hardly able to breath.

The man turned to his cell mate who was on the floor in a fit of laughter and said “what did I say?”The cell mate replies “We haven’t heard that one before!”
